Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pumpkin for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pumpkin stamp set bundle and the Painted Harvest stamp set to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper theme challenge this week.

Here is the banner for Stamp Ink Paper 126.  Stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

The design for my card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch #277.

And the theme for my card was also inspired by TGIFC #134.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Painted Harvest photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel from the Wood Texture DSP Stack.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.

I cut a strip from a darker panel of the Wood Textures DSP and adhered it to the stamped panel with SNAIL.  Then I inked up the pumpkin and gourd images from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set in Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach and Lemon Lime Twist inks.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add a little Lemon Lime Twist ink around the edges of the gourd images and a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the pumpkin stems and a Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to color it back in before stamping them on Very Vanilla card stock.

I cut the pumpkin images out with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front.  I cut vines and stems from Lemon Lime Twist card stock with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots under the pumpkin die cuts.

I added three silver enamel dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack and then tied a strand of Linen Thread around the panel.  I adhered the layered panel to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the pumpkin and gourd images from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set in the same manner as described above on a Very Vanilla card stock panel inside the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post for creating this card.

  1. So far I have been able to resist getting this set but you are making it difficult to stick with that! I will put it on my “wish list” and hope that it goes on sale 11/27 or retires 🙂 Very pretty and I like the way you incorporated the HSS challenge.

  2. Wow, another beauty made by you! Those pumpkins and gourds are inked up to perfection. The detail with the blender pen and dauber adds so much life to the images–you’re awesome. Thanks for linking up to both Hand Stamped Sentiments and TGIF! Smiles, Elizabeth

  3. I love how you used the Pick a pumpkin framelits to create the pumpkins. It’s perfectly paired with your sentiment. Great take on our sketch. Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
