Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “Celebrate” theme and I have chosen to celebrate a birthday!  I’m featuring the Southern Serenade stamp set from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog for my project.

I started by wetting a panel of watercolor paper with just water and and Aqua Painter.  I sprinkled a little bit of the Gamboge Brusho Crystal Colour (available Jan 3) across the panel and then used the Aqua Painter to move the color around a bit.  I let the panel dry completely before proceeding.

I colored the flower image from the Southern Serenade stamp set (available Jan 3) with my Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped it on the watercolor panel.  I used the light and dark Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the image.  I stamped the lace trim image from the Southern Serenade stamp set in Crumb Cake ink across the panel and then adhered the watercolor panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I cut a panel of Soft Suede card stock with one of the Petals & More Thinlits Dies (available Jan 3) and I adhered it to the Watercolor Panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow, then adhered the panel to a Calypso Coral card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Southern Serenade stamp set in Old Olive ink on a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock and punched it out with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch.  I sponged the edges with Old Olive ink, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three Rhinesone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I stamped the flower and lace trim images from the Southern Serenade stamp set in Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
