I used the Stampin’ Up! Climbing Orchid stamp set bundle to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper “just say no to Christmas” theme this week.
Here is the badge for Stamp Ink Paper 130. Stop by the challenge blog to play along too!
My card design was inspired by the Fusion sketch this week.
I started by cutting a panel of Early Espresso card stock with the branch die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I adhered the die cut to a panel of Wood Textures DSP with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL. I stamped the outline images from the Climbing Orchid photopolymer stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I used Light and Dark Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends Markers as well as the Color Lifter to color the images. I cut them out with the coordinating Orchid Builder Framelits Dies.
I stamped the flower center images from the Climbing Orchid stamp set in So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut them out with the Orchid Builder Framelits Dies. I adhered the flower petals together and to the card front with Glue Dots and then added the flower centers over the top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I wrapped strands of Linen Thread around the panel twice, tied small knots on the back and then adhered the layered panel to an Early Espresso card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored a circle on a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Light and Dark Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends and then lighted the edges with the Color Lifter. I let the panel dry completely and then stamped the sentiment from the Climbing Orchid stamp set in Early Espresso ink over it. I punched the sentiment out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and adhered it to a 1-3/8″ Circle Punch from Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish the card front.
I stamped the flower and branch images from the Climbing Orchid stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Early Espresso inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
