Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect stamp set and Petal Palette stamp set bundle from the upcoming Occasions Catalog to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.

I also used a little of the Brusho Crystal Colours to create the background for my card project and jumped on Facebook Live today to show you how I made this card. You can tune in or watch the replay on my Stamp With Amy K Facebook page or on my YouTube Channel!

My card design was inspired by As You See It Challenge #165.

I started by sprinkling a small amount of Prussian Blue Brusho Color Crystals (available Jan 3) on a panel of Shimmery White card stock.  I used a Stampin’ Spritzer to spritz water lightly over the card stock panel.  I let the panel dry completely before proceeding.

I stamped the small flower image from the Petal Palette stamp set (available Jan 3) in Dapper Denim ink on the Shimmery White card stock panel, then adhered the Brusho covered panel to a panel of Dapper Denim card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I cut a panel from the Silver Foil Sheets with the border die from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies (available Jan 3), snipped the end off at the length I wanted and then adhered it to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the the layered panel to a Dapper Denim card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 3) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Shimmery White card stock.  I sprinkled the sentiment with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Dapper Denim card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Silver Baker’s Twine (available Jan 3) around it twice and tied a bow.  I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut two flowers from Shimmery White card stock with the flower die from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.  I sponged the flowers with Dapper Denim and Old Olive inks with a Sponge Dauber and then adhered them to the sentiment panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added glitter epoxy dots from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes pack (available Jan 3) to the flower centers to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and the flower from the Petal Palette stamp set in Dapper Denim ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. The blue is so Gorgeous, Amy! I just watched you Live! Thanks for sharing the new toy with us…brushos have been out for awhile now, but I’ve never used them. Looks fairly easy, the hardest part is waiting for the cs to dry, right!

    • Thanks Roberta! They are really easy to use! I’ve never tried them before and I’ve found that they are super simple and they create beautiful backgrounds with very little effort. 🙂

  2. Hi Amy! What a beautiful card! So refreshing to see after all the holiday cards! Isn’t funny – we go crazy doing the holiday cards and forget the need for all the plain old everyday cards! And your card is anything but plain! Love the colors and your diecut choices! Happy Holidays! Thanks for joining us at As You See It!!

  3. What a beauty, Amy! You have used some of my favourites from the Occasions catalogue and they were a lovely way to show off the sketch. The Brusho makes such a vibrant background. Thank you for joining us at As You See It this week.

  4. I love the variety of techniques you can achieve with the Brusho! I also really like your sponged die cut flowers and the stamped foliage in the background! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenge this time!
