Stampin’ Up! Hedgehugs for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hedgehugs stamp set to create my card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC170.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the other design team members created and to play along too!

I think this also works for the Inspire.Create.Challenges #009.

I started by stamping the two hedgehog images from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the images with the Light Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut them out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  I adhered them with SNAIL to one of the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes (Sale-a-bration item) card bases.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I colored the flower images from Hedgehugs stamp set with Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped them around the sentiment.  I punched the sentiment out with the 2″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a circle cut from Soft Suede card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits Die.

I adhered the sentiment circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then pulled a strand of Linen Thread through one of the True Gentleman Buttons, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

I stamped the two hedgehogs from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the inside of the card.  I colored the little flower with the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker to finish it.

  1. Well, of course, you are causing me to rethink this stamp set 🙂 Love the design and colors. There is a challenge out there for 3 of something, but I can’t remember where I saw it.

  2. Cute card. I like your use the card base from the card set. I never know if I should layer those or go with them as they are. Your card works well like this.

    • Thanks Susan! Those card bases are awesome no matter how you use them! I will be sharing another card on my blog tomorrow with one of those card bases too. 🙂
