Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket Bundle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket stamp set bundle that will be available beginning on February 16 as a free Sale-a-bration selection to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #TTT034.  I went right down the middle.

I started by embossing a panel of Peekaboo Peach card stock with the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration item available Feb 16).  I adhered the embossed panel to another panel of Peekaboo Peach card stock with SNAIL and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the basket image from the Blossoming Basket stamp set (Sale-a-bration item available Feb 16) in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I used Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake inks along with a Blender Pen to color the image.  Then I stamped the butterfly and tag images from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a separate panel of watercolor paper.  I colored them with Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay inks and a Blender Pen, then snipped them out.

I adhered the two butterflies and the little tag to the larger panel with rolled up Glue Dots.  Then I punched a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Ticket Tear Border Punch and adhered it to the back of the watercolor paper panel with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel, tied a bow, then adhered it to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I did a watercolor wash on a small panel of watercolor paper with Lemon Lime Twist ink and an Aqua Painter.  I let the panel dry, then stamped the sentiment from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on the panel (I covered the “here” on the sentiment with a Post-It Note before inking the image).  I slid the sentiment toward the right side and then cut the sentiment out with the Petals & More Framelits Die. Then I placed the die over the left side of the sentiment and ran it through the Big Shot again to cut the banner down a bit in size.  I adhered the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then painted over the flowers and butterflies with Clear Wink of Stella to finish it.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink randomly over a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

Just in case you haven’t seen it, this is the awesome new stamp set and embossing folder BUNDLE that will be available as a free Sale-a-bration selection with an order of $100 or greater beginning on February 16!
