I used the Stampin’ Up! Cake Soiree stamp set bundle to create my card and treat box for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

I used one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders to emboss one of the Silver Mini Gabel Boxes.  I had to use a slightly different sandwich in my Big Shot as the standard embossing sandwich was too thick.  This is the sandwich that I used to emboss the box from the bottom to the top:

• Big Shot Platform
• Thin Die Adapter
• Two pieces of Thick Whisper White card stock cut to just larger than the flat box size
• Petal Pair Embossing Folder with the Silver Gable Box flat inside it
• Cutting Plate

Since each Big Shot is slightly different, the card stock shims may need to be added or reduced.  But this sandwich worked in my Big Shot.

Once I had the box assembled, I tied a strand of Berry Burst Metallic Edge 3/8″ Ribbon around the box in a bow.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Berry Burst ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut it out with the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies tag and added two of the Vellum/Silver die cuts from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit and two Sweet Cake Framelits die cuts from Old Olive card stock with Glue Dots.

I stamped the flower image from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with the matching Sweet Cake Framelits Die.  I adhered the flower die cut over the leaves on the tag and then added a silver enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the tag.  I tied the tag to the ribbon on the box with Silver Baker’s Twine.

I made a coordinating 3″ x 3″ card for the Gable Box.  I inked just the “happy birthday” sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Berry Burst ink and stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I added two strips of silver Washi Tape and then adhered one of the Silver Foil die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals, both from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Flirty Flamingo card stock panel with SNAIL and then to a Berry Burst card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a silver enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card.
