Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight stamp set bundle and Happy Wishes Sale-a-bration stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The design for my card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #261.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  Then I adhered a panel from the Tutti-Frutti 6″ x 6″ DSP to the embossed panel with SNAIL. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Wishes stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Pool Party card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the sentiment to the embossed panel with SNAIL.

I adhered the embossed panel to a slightly larger panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the flower image from the Daisy Delight photopolymer stamp set in Pool Party ink three times on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I colored the images with my Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I punched the three daisies out with the Daisy Punch, rounded the petals slightly with my Bone Folder and then adhered them together in the center with Glue Dots.  I stamped the flower center images in Soft Suede ink (solid image was stamped off once) on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I punched it out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch.  I adhered the flower center to the flower and then adhered the flower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the detailed leaf image from the Painted Harvest photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink three times on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I inked the more solid leaf image from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Garden Green ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the detailed leaf images before punching them out with the Leaf Punch.  I adhered the leaf punches to the card front with Glue Dots, then added some gold enamel dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the daisy and flower center images from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Pool Party and Soft Suede inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Strikingly beautiful CAS. I must CASE this one. Your daisy is the most beautiful one I’ve seen yet. Love what you did with the colors. The gold enamel dots are perfect with your design.

  2. Amy I really love the soft color palette that you used. The card is stunningly beautiful. I think sometimes we sort of overlook stamp sets from the annual catalog once the Holiday and Occasions catalogs come out.

  3. I have to make this card. I love it and so Versatile! I love these colors, it’s simple yet delicate and intricate. Absolutely Gorgeous!
