Stampin’ Up! CAS Sheltering Tree Thank You

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree stamp set and a little of the Birthday Memories DSP that you can earn for FREE with an order of $50 or greater through March 31 to create a clean and simple thank you card to share today.

My card design is loosely based on Freshly Made Sketches #329.

I started by adhering a panel from the Birthday Memories DSP (Sale-a-bration item and regular catalog item) to the front of a Pacific Point card stock panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the images from the Sheltering Tree photopolymer stamp set in Crumb Cake, Old Olive (stamped off once for the grass), Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sheltering Tree stamp set in Soft Suede ink across the panel, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the card front by adding an Old Olive Glitter Enamel Dot next to the sentiment.

I stamped the flower and grass images from the Sheltering Tree stamp set in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. That’s one of my all-time favorite stamp sets and your card is a sure bet to make someone happy! Thanks for reminding me to pull that one out again this spring.

  2. Simplicity at its finest…love it! I want to swing on that tree 🙂 Great job of interpreting the sketch. I looked at it yesterday and couldn’t think beyond what I saw so I decided not to do it. You have inspired me to get that set out…it’s quite dusty.

  3. Wonderful card! I love the DSP in the background – must try😀 My Sheltering has gathered some dust as well – need to take it for a spin! Have a great week, Amy

  4. I always like cards that have a matching inside. This is so pretty and what a great idea to use a tree for the main shape. Thanks for playing along at FMS this week!

  5. I really love this card and can’t wait until my Sheltering Tree stamp set gets here. Now you know that I am a novice so forgive me when I ask about the little flowers. Did you make them with the Aqua Painters or what? I’m just excited about this set, I’ve been looking at it ever since I started stamping!

    • I’m so glad that you like the stamp set too! The little flowers are actually stamped, you’ll see that there is a little set of 6 dots that you can ink up and they match perfectly with the flower stems! 🙂
