Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Sneak Peek CAS Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases stamp set from the upcoming 2018-19 Annual Catalog to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #332.

My card also works for the Just Us Girls #436 Trend Week.

I started by adhering a panel from the Tutti-Frutti 6″ x 6″ DSP Stack to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack over the card front with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around it and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Varied Vases photopolymer stamp set (available June 1) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a strip of Lovely Lipstick card stock (available June 1), punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the outline flower image from the Varied Vases stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the solid flower image in Lovely Lipstick ink (available June 1) over it.  I cut around the image with a Layering Ovals Framelits Die and then adhered the die cut oval with SNAIL to an oval that I’d cut from Lovely Lipstick card stock with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then stamped the solid and detail vase images from the Varied Vases stamp set in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks one on top of the other on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I punched the vase out with the coordinating Vases Builder Punch (available June 1) and adhered it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added one of the Basic Black Faceted Dots (available June 1) to finish the card front.

I stamped the flowers and vase from the Varied Vases stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento, Lovely Lipstick, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  I did stamp the vase images first and then placed a Post-It Note mask over the top before stamping the flowers so that the stems wouldn’t be stamped over the vase images.

The full Varied Vases stamp set and coordinating punch are shown on the bottom half of this photo.  It’s another fantastic new item that will be available June 1!!

  1. Great card. You make such lovely, simple (not to be mistaken for easy, though they could be) cards. Less is more, but I don’t do that well. Thanks for sharing. Good meeting last night.

  2. This is a sweet vase! I love it with the bold black/white and the Lipstick! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
