Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest So Sweet Card for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest and Make A Difference Stamp sets to create my card for the ABC’s & 123’s challenge from Stamp Ink Paper this week.

Here is the challenge graphic for Stamp Ink Paper 151.  Hope that you’ll stop by to play along too!

My card design was inspired by CAS-ual Fridays CFC199.

I started by coloring the fruit slice image from the Lemon Zest stamp set with different combinations of the following Stampin’ Write Markers: Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch.  I stamped the images on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Grapefruit Grove card stock with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel three times and tied a bow.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to Grapefruit Grove card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I inked the fruit slice with a Lemon Lime Twist and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker, stamped it on a separate panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with a Layering Circles Framelits Die.  I adhered the die cut to the card front with Glue Dots.

I inked the fruit slice in Grapefruit Grove ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the sentiment with the letters from the Make a Difference photopolymer stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink over the fruit slice and then cut around it with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  I adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the two leaves from the Lemon Zest stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and punched them out with the matching Lemon Builder Punch.  I adhered the two punched leaves with Glue Dots and then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I inked and stamped the fruit slices from the Lemon Zest stamp set in the colors noted above and I stamped them on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

***Don’t forget that the bundle pricing for the Lemon Zest stamp set and punch will be ending on May 31!  Both of those items are available in the new catalog, but they’ll be at the regular price.  So be sure to get the bundle deal before it goes away!

  1. One of the funnest things I learned with lemon stamps was to emboss it with unsweetened Kool-aid in the EP. Voila! Scratch-n-sniff lemons! Gonna get this stamp set, but I’ll forego the punch. Very easy to fussy cut.

    • Thanks for that tip Kathy! I’d have never thought to emboss them with Kool-Aid! Sweet! 🙂
