And We’re Off…Day One of the Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise!!

We actually arrived a little early…so this is technically day two of our trip. 😉  We flew into Seattle, WA early on Thursday and met up with Mary Deatherage and her husband for a little touring around Seattle.

We headed down to the Seattle Fish Market and found a good spot for lunch on the water.

We wandered over to see the Wings Over Washington 4D video…that was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time!

We waved goodbye to downtown Seattle (but not before stopping for a homemade ice cream and cupcake sundae…yummy!!) and got ready to depart on the cruise.

A cool sign welcomed us to our room on the boat, love the frame!!

And this is our home away from home for the next week. 🙂

We found a pretty awesome spot to hang out while we waited for the boat to leave.

And here are a few pictures of the dock area from our balcony.

After dropping off our bags, we headed off to the “Stampers’ Base Camp” where we spun the wheel to get our first prizes, a pack of the Brights 6″ x 6″ designer paper for me!  🙂

We took off and got to see the beautiful Washington coast as we sailed away!

After a welcome reception and dinner, we headed back to the cabin where I found my first pillow gift…and AWESOME fleece jacket and a new goody from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!!  I can’t show you what’s in the little bag just yet, but here is my cool jacket! 🙂

Looking forward to a day of relaxing at sea today and then an awesome day of sightseeing in Juneau tomorrow!

  1. Thanks Amy, that is a really cool jacket. Enjoy your cruise and safe travel to you all. hope you get to see lots of wild life. Our daughter did that trip some years ago and loved all the scenery and wild life. Take care. Rosalie, on the other side of the world in Aus.

  2. Yea! You’re off and ready to sail away! The picture of the Celebrity Solstice brought back memories. We sailed on it our last trip to Alaska. Love the jacket and frame. SU is taking good care of you!

  3. How did you like Seattle? It’s a fun city to visit. Did you go to the market place. When my daughter was going to UW I would go visit twice a month. While she was in school I would go down to the market and buy fresh things for dinner. Wouldn’t want to live there, but a fun place to visit. 🙂 Enjoy your cruise. Sharon

    • It was a fun place to visit for sure! We did go down to the Fish Market, we had lunch there! 🙂

  4. Lucky you! I wish you lots of fun on your trip. I did an Alaskan cruise several years ago and enjoyed it immensely.
