Stampin’ Up! Country Home for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I  used the Stampin’ Up! Country Home stamp set and First Frost stamp set bundle to create a clean and simple card for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by stamping the branch image from the First Frost stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink on a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with SNAIL and then to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut two branches from Whisper White card stock with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies and used Sponge Daubers to add Soft Sea Foam and Balmy Blue inks to the die cuts.  I snipped the die cuts apart and adhered the die cut pieces to the card front with Glue Dots.  I stamped the sentiment from the Country Home stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock and then cut around it with the smaller frame die from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies.

I cut a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with the larger frame die from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies and adhered it to the back of the die cut sentiment with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Glue Dots.  I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through one of the True Gentleman Buttons, tied a bow and adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.  I added three silver pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the branch image from the First Frost stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. You do many lovely cards so creatively, but I think this one tops them all. Of course, I love the wood DSP and the soft green and the branches…the whole thing is so very well done, and the blue is the perfect touch. Great card.
