Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Just A Note Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set bundle to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for this card out on Facebook Live yesterday and you can see the video here on Facebook or here on my YouTube Channel.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #305.

I started by embossing a panel of Thick Whisper White card stock with one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders.  I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch.

I looped Linen Thread and adhered it to the back of the sentiment strip with Glue Dots and then adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tucked one of the Butterfly Elements (Sale-a-bration item) under the sentiment and adhered it with Glue Dots.  Then I stamped the butterfly images from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento and Mango Melody inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.

I punched the butterflies out with the Butterfly Duet Punch and then stamped the butterfly bodies in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the punched images.  I adhered the butterflies to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added one of the Faceted Dots on the sentiment banner to finish the card front.

I stamped and punched out three more small butterflies with the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet Punch and adhered them with Glue Dots to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this project at the very bottom of this blog post.

Sale-a-bration Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack – Sold Out

Stampin’ Up! posted the following update last evening:

The Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (item 149623) may be one of our most popular Sale-A-Bration items ever. It’s been so popular, in fact, that it has exceeded our product forecast and sold out in our North American markets. We have a shipment coming in to fulfill backorders, but because this item has been in such high demand, we have been forced to turn off the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack. Unfortunately, this initial shipment will help us fulfill only orders that have already been placed. Once backorders have been fulfilled, a second shipment will arrive at the beginning of March, which will allow us to turn on this item again; it will be available while supplies last only.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.  The good news is that there are lots of great items still available AND new items coming February 15!

  1. Wonderful! Watched your video too, nicely done. This card is SO….I don’t know, elegant? The strip of embossing behind the butterflies is perfect and really sets them off. I also like your little thread touch and the butterfly element stuck in there.
