Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons stamp set and Four Seasons Framelits Dies to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #377.

The birthday theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #477.

I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Gorgeous Grape card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Highland Heather ink and then used a Sponge Dauber tapped in Highland Heather ink to sponge over the image.  I added a little Gorgeous Grape ink around the very edges and in the flower center with a Sponge Dauber and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I repeated that for the second flower and then cut them out with the Four Seasons Framelits Dies.  I adhered one of the flowers with SNAIL to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on a panel of Highland Heather card stock and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with SNAIL to the card front.  I stamped two of the leaf images from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green (sponged around the edges) inks, using the same Sponge Dauber technique, and then cut them out with the coordinating Four Seasons Framelits Dies.  I adhered the two die cuts to the card front with SNAIL.

I adhered the second flower to the card front with SNAIL and then cut the sentiment from Lemon Lime Twist card stock with one of the Well Written Framelits Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added three Glitter Enamel Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink and the flowers and leaves from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist inks on a Whisper White card stock panel on the inside of the card.

  1. I love your card! Can you give me any tips on using the Well Written Framelets Dies? I know the ‘ has an dot that’s NOT attached), but that’s all I know. I want to say Thank you, Amy ,for all the help and encouragement yo gave me when I first started SU! It as you that encouraged me to stay in when I wanted to give up because of no business. But, after three years I’m still trying! So with all my heart, Thank you!

    • You are too sweet! Thanks so much for your kind words. 🙂 The only tips that I can give is to use small dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them. I find that easier to work with than the adhesive sheets…but that’s just my preference. Let me know if you have specific problems with them, they’re fairly easy to use and cut all of the papers that I’ve used with no issues. 🙂

  2. This is beautiful! I love those soft, gorgeous flowers against the wood background. Great card combining the two challenges. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!

  3. I’m so excited! I finally ordered my new ink pads, (it’s been so hard not having these beautiful colors to work with). Weather permitting, I’ll have Friday! I’m really excited to make a card similar to yours for a friend’s birthday! These purples are her favorite colors.
It’s been hard NOT having the new inks, I’ll be like a kid in a candy store, playing with my new inks! TFS!
