Stampin’ Up! Above The Clouds Card For The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Above The Clouds stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to create a congratulations card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card cake card stock with the Corrugated Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I added a strip of Follow Your Art DSP (available June 4) with Tear & Tape Adhesive over the embossed panel.

I stamped the cloud image from the Above The Clouds photopolymer stamp set (available June 4) in Whisper White Craft Ink on a panel of Seaside Spray card stock, let the ink dry and then cut a circle with a Layering Circles Framelits Die from the panel.  I adhered the stamped circle with Tear & Tape Adhesive to the card front and then stamped the two balloon and basket images from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento and Crumb Cake (for the baskets) inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used Light Bermuda Bay, Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Pineapple Punch Stampin Blends Markers to color the balloons.

I punched the balloons with the Hot Air Balloon Punch (available June 4) and adhered them with Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Glitter Enamel Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the balloon and bird images from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento and Coastal Cabana inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Love everything about your card Amy 🙂 The colors are perfect and I love how you have the clouds behind the balloons. Love the perfect layering

  2. Just perfect–layering, blending, colors, take on sketch, embossing, design– yet you keep it clean and fun. How do you do that?!
