Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Congratulations Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments stamp set to create a congratulations card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

One other quick note…I’m using a new email delivery service for my blog posts!  I’m hoping that this will fix the issues that many of you were having with not receiving my daily posts.  Let me know if you have any problems with the new service.  Thank you for subscribing to my blog and for waiting for me to get the issues fixed!!

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #353.

I started by stamping the row of poppies from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used the Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers to color the images and then I adhered the panel to a larger panel of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with SNAIL.

I cut an oval from the center of a panel of Peaceful Poppies DSP with the largest solid oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Then I used the two largest solid ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and I placed them one inside the other on a panel of Old Olive card stock and I used them to cut the frame.  I adhered the frame with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the DSP panel and then adhered the DSP panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock and then cut around it with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I move the bottom of the die up under the sentiment and cut it a second time to create the smaller rectangle.  I cut a panel of Old Olive card stock with one of the Painted Labels Dies and I adhered it with SNAIL to the back of the sentiment.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the flower and leaf images from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on panels of Peaceful Poppies DSP and cut them out with the coordinating Painted Labels Dies.  I adhered the die cuts with Glue Dots around the sentiment.  I colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker and adhered them to the card front to finish it.

I adhered a strip of the Peaceful Poppies DSP with SNAIL to a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.
