Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella Hello Sunshine Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella stamp set bundle to create a fun card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

The colors for my card were inspired by As You See It Challenge #223.

I started by adhering a panel of Pineapple Punch DSP from the 2018-2020 In Color DSP pack to the front of a Pineapple Punch card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I embossed a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder and I adhered it to a panel of Whisper White card stock and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a strand of Whisper White Solid White Baker’s Twine around the card front twice and tied a small bow.  Then I stamped the umbrella images from the Under My Umbrella photopolymer in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the umbrella tops with Light and Dark Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers.  I punched the images out with the coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch and then adhered the tops with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the handles with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then added three Pineapple Punch enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added the boot image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink next to it.  I colored the boots with Light and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.

  1. What a fun way to use the rainbow colors—on umbrellas! Makes a lot of sense to me! I need to check out your video too….I’d love to jump on that bandwagon but I am afraid I am not very techy!!! Thanks for playing with our rainbow challenge at AYSI this week!

    • Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! The best way to learn how to do videos is to just jump in!! 🙂

  2. What better image to have rainbows on but umbrellas! And these ones are so bright and cheerful, Amy! No dark clouds here! You must be an optimist! Thanks for playing along with our Rainbow Challenge at As You See It Challenges!

  3. Rainbow umbrellas – genius Amy! And why had I never noticed what a great raindrop feature that embossing folder makes? I love it!! Thanks for playing along over at As You See It this week!
