Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 535.

I started by adhering a panel from the Best Dressed 6″ X 6″ DSP to the front of a Purple Posy card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut two other panels of Best Dressed DSP with dies from the Ornate Layers Dies and Stitched Rectangles Dies and I adhered the DSP to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Purple Posy card stock with the Stamparatus so that I could reink and restamp as needed.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the flower images from the Dressed To Impress stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored them with Light and Dark Purple Posy, Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.  I cut the images out with the coordinating All Dressed Up Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of the Best Dressed DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. Every time I see the Best Dressed DSP being used, I wonder why I didn’t order it! I love the way you used it on your card. At first I thought it was vellum over Purple Posy card stock but I knew we didn’t have vellum like that. However, you have given me inspiration to create something with vellum!
