Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic With Timeless Tropical For Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic and Timeless Tropical stamp sets to create a fun rest & relax card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.

Here are the color for Sunday Stamps SSC229.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC060.  I went down the left side…the pineapple is “tilted”, so I counted that. 😉

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and the 3D Embossing Folder Plate.  I adhered the embossed panel to a slightly larger panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut the pineapple pieces from Pineapple Punch and Shaded Spruce card stocks with the In The Tropics Dies and adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.  Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana inks on Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the coordinating Tropical Dies to cut out the stamped images and I adhered the die cut pieces over the card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with SNAIL and then added three Granny Apple Green enamel dots from the Glitter Enamel Dots pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the leaves from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of my card.

  1. Amy, This is just toooo cute and adorable!, Considering how things are we need a little bit of the tropic to brighten our days! Perfect combo for the left row down board elements. So happy to have you play along with us over at Tic Tac Toe challenge this week.

  2. Great job of working with the design photo, Amy! Your color choices are spot on! I love that you also tied in with elements from my challenge board too! Such a cheery card, thank you so much for playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week!! Hugs!, Shannon

  3. Saw your card as one of the top pics on Tic Tac Toe and HAD to see where you got the pineapple cut. I don’t see it in the list of SU supplies. Is it retired? From somewhere else? I love your card. Would love to know where the pineapple is from.
