Stampin’ Up! Summer Days Card for the Ink It Stamp It Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop! This is a group of amazing stampers from all over the world so be sure to hop through the full line up below so that you can see all of the projects!  This month we are showcasing “kid” projects and I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! Summer Days host exclusive stamp set from the upcoming 2020-21 Annual Catalog for my project.

My card design was loosely inspired by Mojo Monday #536.

I started by embossing a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder (available June 3).  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the images from the Summer Days stamp set (host exclusive stamp set available June 3) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored them with Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Highland Heather and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers as well as Ivory for the skin tones.  I cut around the image with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and then adhered the die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friend Like You photopolymer stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies (available June 3).  I adhered a length of 1/4″ Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim (available June 3) to the card front with SNAIL and then adhered the die cut sentiment over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish it.

I stamped the image from the Summer Days stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and the colored it with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, So Saffron and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers as well as Ivory for the skin tones.
