Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Posted For You stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week.  I picked Bumblebee, Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider. 🙂

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP497.

I started by cutting a panel of Flowers For Every Season 6″ X 6″ DSP with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I adhered the die cut panel with Stampin’ Seal to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base.  Then I adhered a strip of Flowers For Every Season DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on the corner of the Thick Whisper White card base.

I stamped the sunflower and image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Bumblebee ink on a panel of Bumblebee card stock and then cut around it with the coordinating die from the Sunflowers Dies.  I cut another panel of Bumblebee card stock with the detailed die from the Sunflowers Dies and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the stamped sunflower.  I cut a panel of Cinnamon Cider card stock with the detailed sunflower and flower center dies from the Sunflowers Dies.  I snipped the center out of the die cut and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the Bumblebee die cut.  I adhered the flower center die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the flower center.

I adhered the layered sunflower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then stamped the leaves from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Just Jade ink on a panel of Just Jade card stock.  I cut the leaves out with the coordinating die from the Sunflowers Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front.  I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel near the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set two times in Bumblebee ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
