Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Birthday Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set bundle and some of the pretty Flowers For Every Season 6″ x 6″ DSP to create a birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on my YouTube channel here.

My card design was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP258.

My card theme was inspired by The Card Concept 139.  Mine is a clean and layered card and it was inspired by the sunflowers in the photo.

I started by adhering a panel from the In Good Taste DSP to the front of an Early Espresso card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Flowers For Every Season 6″ x 6″ DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies three times.  I adhered the die cut rectangles to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered a length of Just Jade ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack to the card front in a wide “z” with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies and I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Just Jade, So Saffron, Mango Melody and Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers.  I cut the sunflower out with the coordinating Sunflowers Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal to the card front.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of the Flowers For Every Season DSP to the bottom of a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. I love this card! So much texture from the patterned papers and the gingham ribbon. It all works together so beautifully. Thanks for playing along with us at The Card Concept!
