Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature For The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel from the In Good Taste DSP (on sale for 15% off during October) to the front of an Early Espresso card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I cut a panel of Forever Greenery DSP (on sale for 15% off during October) with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.

I cut panels of Brushed Metallic 12″ x 12″ Cardstock and Garden Green card stock with dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies and then adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I cut a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock with one of the Layering Ovals Dies and then adhered the sentiment die cut to the Pretty Peacock die cut with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then added three Gold Glitter Enamel Dots around the card front to finish it.

I adhered a strip of Forever Greenery DSP to a Whisper White card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. Very pretty Amy 🙂 Love that woodgrain with the Forever Greenery DSP and your metallic accents add the perfect touch

  2. Lovely! Great use of Rooted in Nature, one of my favorite sets, and not used enough, in my opinion. I think it is funny that all of us used a strip on the bottom of the inside today. Well, maybe not Mary…haven’t seen her blog yet. Love that woodgrain background.

  3. I’m really digging that wood grain and how pretty it looks with the DSP and your layering. YOU are wonderful! TFS.
