Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick stamp set bundle to create a fun birthday card to share with you today.  One awesome thing to know…while the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set is available in the new Mini Catalog, there is a coordinating die set for this stamp set that will be available either individually or as a bundle starting on February 2!  The details and a flyer with more information are at the bottom of this blog post.

I started by adhering a panel of Oh So Ombre DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I embossed a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies.  I used the Blending Brushes to add Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay inks to the Basic White card stock panel.  I adhered the panel to the front of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut panels of Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight card stocks with dies from the Chick Dies (available Feb 2) and then adhered them to the Basic White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a panel of Copper Foil Sheets with one of the Birthday Chick Dies (available Feb 2) and I adhered it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the chicken image from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out with one of the Birthday Chick Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and chick images from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in Bermuda Bay and Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the chick with Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this project, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. These are right up my stamping alley! Being from Iowa, these really speak to me and I still have my Hey Chick stamp set from SAB 2017!! Can’t wait for Feb now!

    • They’re such cute stamp sets and I love the coordinating dies!! Glad that you’re picking them up too! 🙂

  2. Hi Amy, Thank you so much for sharing these soon-to-be-released dies! I’m over the top excited about these! Hurray Stampin’ Up! I am very grateful for you sharing your card making talents! I also wanted to ask if maybe your daughter would be doing any more cards. I remember when she did some a few years ago and they were so fun! Again, thank you so much for sharing your creativity and inspiring so many!
