Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick and Hey Chick stamp set bundles to create a birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this project and you can see it on my Facebook page here and on my YouTube channel here.  These cute bundles are now available to purchase in the online store!

My card design was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #356.

My card also work for The Paper Players PP526.  I went across the top.

And my card also works for the plaid challenge for TGIF Challenges #TGIFC301.

I started by adhering a panel of the Delightful Berry DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then used Blending Brushes and Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Pool Party inks to add color the the panel.

I cut panels of Crumb Cake and Gray Granite card stocks with Chick Dies and then adhered the die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the images of the chickens from the Hey Birthday Chick and Hey Chick stamp sets in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the images with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Purple Posy, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  Then I added shadows with the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker followed by the Color Lifter.

I cut the chicken images out with the coordinating Birthday Chick Dies and Chick Dies and adhered one chick with Stampin’ Seal and the other with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and chick images from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets in Granny Apple Green and Tuxedo Black Memento inks on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the chick image with Mango Melody, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Gray Granite and the Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends and then added a strip of Berry Delightful DSP to finish the inside of the card.
