Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Hawaiian Shirt Birthday Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited stamp set bundle to create a fun Hawaiian shirt birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this project and you can see it on my YouTube channel here.

I started by adhering a panel of Sahara Sand DSP from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP pack to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ rectangle from the Well Suited DSP and then cut two of the pocket die cuts, one of the collar die cuts and one of the long stitched edge die cuts from the same DSP design with the dies from the Suit & Tie Dies.  I adhered the two pocket die cuts to either side of the rectangle with Stampin’ Seal and then added the collar die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the long stitched edge die cut with Stampin’ Seal down the center of the “shirt” and then trimmed the die cut even with the bottom of the shirt.  I cut buttons from Night of Navy card stock with the Suit & Tie Dies and adhered them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the center of the shirt.  I adhered the shirt to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then trimmed the sleeve even with the edge of the card base.

I adhered a strip of Well Suited DSP to the bottom of the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then stamped the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set in Night Of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set in Night Of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a strip of Sahara Sand DSP to finish the inside of the card.
