Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys Fun Fold Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkey stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a fun fold challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is our challenge this week:

My card also works for Tic Tac Toe TTTC101.  I went down the left side.

I started by scoring the 4-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ panel of Coastal Cabana card stock at 5-1/2″.  Then I adhered panels of In Good Taste DSP to panels of Early Espresso card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered one panel the left side of the card front and one panel to the inside of the card base.

I stamped the donkey image from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Petal Pink inks.  I cut the image out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to a scalloped square cut from Coastal Cabana card stock with one of the Layering Squares Dies.

I looped and tied a length of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the Basic White card stock panel.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock.  I sprinkled the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Basic White card stock panel.

I cut a 3″ x 6″ panel of Early Espresso card stock and then scored it at 3″ to create a 3″ x 3″ card base.  I adhered the layered scalloped square panel to the front of the card with Stampin’ Seal, then adhered the card base to the “inside” panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the sentiment and donkey images from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and cut around them with a Stitched Shapes Square.  I adhered the die cut square with Stampin’ Seal to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Who knew that the donkey would be center stage of this week’s blog hop?? He is adorable. Sorry I missed being on this hop as I love fun folds. Love your card. That wood grain is a perfect backdrop for the donkey.

  2. Love your fun fold and those cute donkeys with the wood grain paper. Love the use of Coastal Cabana too—I haven’t used that color in a long time and love it with the browns. TFS. (Love the theme this week too. Really fun hop.)
