Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card design was inspired by The Spot Challenge #153.

I started by adhering a panel from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the image with Light and Dark Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I colored the flower centers on the tall flowers carefully with the Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker.

I embossed the stamped panel with one of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered two small strips of Dandy Garden DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then punched one of the dragonflies from the Dandy Garden DSP with the Dragonflies Punch and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of Dandy Garden DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
