Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

We had our Inkin’ Krew team meeting yesterday and we met up virtually and did a little stamping together!!  Mary Deatherage, Jaimie Babarczy and I each came up with a project to share on our Zoom Meeting.  We all used the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set bundle from the for our projects.  I a birthday card that I made with the group!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 532.

And my card works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC104.  I went across the bottom row.

I started by cutting up (I know…right???) my Butterfly Brilliance stamp set so that I’ve not got 6 individual butterflies to stamp with.  I’m planning to purchase a second stamp set to have in case I ever want to use the full image again.  But for now, this one works great!!

I adhered a panel of Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the individual smaller butterfly images from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Sahara Sand ink across a panel of In Good Taste DSP.  I adhered the stamped DSP panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the sentiment from the Welcoming Window photopolymer stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Seal to the card front, then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark So Saffron and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the butterfly out with the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added three Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems to finish the card front.

I stamped the butterfly images from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

We had a great time stamping together even though we had to meet online!  I’m looking forward to the day that we can all get together in person and stamp again soon!
