I used the Stampin’ Up! Wrapped Bouquet stamp set bundle to create a Mother’s Day card for the Fab Friday color challenge this week.
Here are the colors for Fab Friday 212. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!
I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock with Stampin’ Seal. Then I adhered a panel of Flirty Flamingo DSP from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP pack (retiring May 3) to the Basic White card stock panel with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched the ends of strips of Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Regals and Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP packs (retiring May 3) with the Banners Pick A Punch and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Dressed To Impress photopolymer stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.
I stamped the flower image from the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set in Old Olive ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Cajun Craze (my substitute for Terracotta Tile since it’s mostly sold out!) Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the image out with the coordinating Wrapped Flowers Dies and then cut a panel of Basic White card stock with the “newspaper” die from the Wrapped Flowers Dies. I stamped the newsprint image from the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on both sides of the newspaper die cut and then folded it around the flower die cut and adhered the pieces together with Mini Glue Dots.
I cut the greenery from Soft Sea Foam card stock with the Wrapped Flowers Dies and adhered the die cut pieces to the back of the die cut flowers with Mini Glue Dots. I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the bouquet, securing it with a Glue Dot on the back and tied a bow. Then I adhered the die cut flowers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment and flower images from the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
