Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “for the men/boys” theme and I’m featuring the Handsomely Suited stamp set bundle for my project.
The birthday theme for my card was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP291.
I started by cutting a panel of Well Suited DSP with the “v” shaped die from the Suit & Tie Dies. I adhered the die cut panel to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. ***Quick Tip: Make sure that you don’t apply adhesive in the center of the “v” or it will be difficult to tuck the tie die cut under the suit later. Then I cut another panel of Well Suited DSP with the lapel and pocket dies from the Suit & Tie Dies. I adhered the die cut lapel to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and set the pocket aside for later.
Then I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with the collar die from the Suit & Tie Dies and I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I cut a panel of Well Suited DSP with the two tie die cuts and the collar die cut. I adhered the two tie die cuts under the collar and suit jacket with Stampin’ Seal. Then I snipped the collar die cut in half and adhered the two halves to the back of the pocket die with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the pocket to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then trimmed the right side even with the edge of the card base.
I stamped the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set in Night Of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then cut a button from Basic Gray card stock with the die from the Suit & Tie Dies. I adhered the button to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest Of Birthdays stamp set in Night Of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of the Well Suited DSP to finish the inside of the card.
