Sadly, our awesome trip to Hawaii is ending today.  We’ve had an awesome time and look forward to coming back to this beautiful island again soon!  I’m sharing a few photos from our travels around Kauai with you today.

This awesome view is right outside our rental unit on the north side of Kauai.  We stayed in the small town of Princeville.  Such a beautiful place!  One side had an ocean view.

And the other side is a mountain view!

This was the snorkel/surfing area right in front of the condo that we stayed at.

This was the park right next to our condo.

The sunsets in Kauai are just as amazing as they were in Maui!!

We grabbed some snorkel equipment and tripped, slipped and slid down to the beach in front of the condo (the “trail” was steep and required a rope to get up and down…it was a pretty funny site watching us navigate it) for an afternoon of playing in the water.

We saw a few fish and some coral.

The fish caught a few glimpses of two goofy ladies too.

We headed to Waimea Canyon (Kauai’s version of the Grand Canyon) on Wednesday and it was stunning too!!

We did a little “easy” hike to the other side of the canyon and ate lunch at an awesome place inside the Koke’e Lodge.  If you have a chance to visit, definitely check it out!

One last view of the beach as we headed back to the north side.

As you see this, we’ll likely be heading to the airport for a very long series of flights (four in all!!) back home.  Waving goodbye to Hawaii and looking forward to the Western Caribbean next May!
