Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a birthday theme and I’m featuring the Hippest Hippos stamp set from the upcoming July-August Sale-a-bration Brochure for my project.

Stampin' Up! Hippest Hippos Birthday Card

I started by adhering a panel of Crumb Cake DSP from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP pack to the front of a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I cut a panel of So Saffron card stock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I embossed the die cut panel with the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder and then adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Real Red card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut panels of Pool Party card stock with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies.  I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the hippo image from the Hippest Hippos stamp set (Sale-a-bration item available July 1) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out with the coordinating Hippo Dies (Sale-a-bration item available July 1).

I cut panels of Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Real Red and Silver Foil 12″ x 12″ Specialty Pack with Hippo Dies and Tree Lot Dies (Sale-a-bration item available July 1).  I adhered the die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then rolled one end and adhered the rolled paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Seal to finish the card front.
