I used the Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle stamp set to create a quick card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.
Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC303. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!
My card also works for TGIF Challenges #TGIFC408.
I started by adhering a panel of Dandy Designs DSP ($100 level Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stamped the solid water image from the Sea Turtle photopolymer stamp set in Pool Party ink across the die cut panel. I cleaned the image and flipped it over on the block and stamped the more detailed water image in Balmy Blue ink across the bottom of the die cut panel.
I stamped the seaweed image from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green inks across the bottom of the die cut panel and then adhered the die cut panel to a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. Then I stamped the detailed turtle images from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I cleaned the stamps and flipped them over to stamp the solid images in Granny Apple Green ink over the detailed images.
I cut the two turtles out with Paper Snips and adhered the small turtle with Mini Glue Dots and the larger turtle with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Easter Bunny photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the card front. I adhered two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.
I stamped the small detailed turtle image from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I stamped the solid image in Granny Apple Green ink over the first image to finish the inside of the card.

Great card Amy! My niece does a lot of research with sea turtles. I have been on the fence with this stamp set. Wish they had a coordinating set of dies for the turtles, starfish and sand dollars.
Thanks Kathy! I wish that it had dies too! But it was such a great set that I had to get it anyway. 🙂
