I used the Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along stamp set bundle from the Online Exclusives to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here is the theme that we’re using this week…okay, so my card really isn’t a “fun fold” but hopefully a slider card will still count and they won’t kick me out of the hop!!
I started by stamping the Rays Of Light stamp set image in Lemon Lolly ink on a panel of Lemon Lolly card stock. Then I adhered the stamped panel to the front of a Lemon Lolly card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I cut panels of Old Olive and Garden Green card stocks with the tree dies from the Forever Forest Dies (available September 6) and then I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Then I punched a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Curved Label Punch (available September 6). I tried to line the left side of the punch up with roughly the center of the panel.
Then I turned the panel 180 degrees and punch it a second time with the Curved Label Punch lining the punches up so that they met in the middle. Then I inked the sand image from the Oceanfront photopolymer stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the punched panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Trucking Along photopolymer stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in VersaMark ink on the punched panel, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.
Then I cut a circle from Basic White card stock with the smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I placed a Stampin’ Dimensional in the center of the die cut circle and then placed the punched panel over the top. Then I stamped the truck and flower images from the Trucking Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento, Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lolly inks. I colored the tires with Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Gray Granite and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and the flowers with Old Olive and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.
I punched the truck out with the coordinating Trucking Along Builder Punch (Online Exclusive item restocking in mid-October) and snipped the flowers with Paper Snips. I adhered the flowers to the back of the truck punch with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the truck over the punched panel with the Stampin’ Dimensional that was adhered to the circle die cut.
I adhered another panel of Crumb Cake card stock to the lower area on the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the punched truck panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals over it.
I cut the clouds from Basic White card stock with the Forever Forest Dies and adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added two Coastal Cabana gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack to finish the card front.
I stamped the truck images from the Trucking Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lolly inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored the tires and flowers with Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Pool Party, Old Olive and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.
