Stampin’ Up! Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card – Upcoming Catalog Bundle!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hot Air Balloon stamp set bundle to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.  The Hot Air Balloon stamp set bundle will be available to order beginning Janury 4!  I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.

Stampin' Up! Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card

My card design is very loosely inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #612.

I started by applying Balmy Blue ink with a Blending Brush to the center of a panel of Basic White card stock.  Then I embossed the panel with the crosshatch folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusive item).  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the balloon and basket images from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set (available Jan 4) in Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the images out with the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Dies (available Jan 4) and then cut three clouds from the Basic White panel with the Hot Air Balloon Dies.  I adhered the clouds and smaller balloon images with Mini Glue Dots and the larger balloon images with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with the coordinating die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added two Fresh Freesia dots from the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots (available Jan 4) to finish the card front.

  1. What a sweet use of those two big balloons! I love the sentiment in the banner. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
