Stampin’ Up! Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “birthday” theme and I’m featuring the Hot Air Balloon stamp set bundle for my card.

Stampin' Up! Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card

My card design was inspired by TGIF Challenge #tgifc459.

I adhered a panel of Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Bubble Bath card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered a panel of Sunny Days DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the front of the card base with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut the balloon and basket images from the Lighter Than Air DSP with the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Dies.  I adhered the die cut balloons and baskets with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.  Then I cut clouds from Basic White card stock with the two cloud dies from the Hot Air Balloon Dies and I adhered the die cut clouds to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set in VersaMark ink, stamped it on a panel of Lemon Lolly card stock, sprinkled it with black embossing powder (returning in May 2024) and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then adhered the die cut banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two of the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the sentiment banner to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set in Bubble Bath ink on a panel of basic White card stock and then added the die cut balloon images and a strip of DSP from the Lighter Than Air DSP to finish the inside of the card.
