I used the Stampin’ Up! Ice Cream Swirl stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here is the theme that we’re all using this week:
I started by adhering a panel of Most Adored Specialty DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I embossed a panel of Basic White card stock with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and I adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to a panel of Pool Party card stock. I adhered a panel of Softly Stippled DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Seal and then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow. I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the ice cream image from the Ice Cream Swirl photopolymer stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock. I cut the stamped image out with the Ice Cream Swirl Dies and then cut a panel of Lemon Lolly card stock with the ice cream cone dies from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. I snipped off the top and bottom of the ice cream cone die cut and then added a little Lemon Lolly ink with Blending Brushes to the edges of the “dish” die cut. I slid the die cuts under the Linen Thread bow and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.
I stamped the straw, strawberry and cherry images from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I colored the images with Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Sweet Sorbet, Lemon Lime Twist and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the images out with the coordinating Ice Cream Swirl Dies and adhered the die cut pieces to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped the sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut the sentiment out with one of the Everyday Details Dies. I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added two of the Flirty Flamingo dots from the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of Most Adored DSP to finish the inside of the card.
