Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle stamp set to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.  I made this card out on my Instagram account this morning and you can find it  here.

Stampin' Up! Sea Turtle Birthday Card

My card design was inspired by Sketch Saturday #748.

I started by applying Post-It Note Tape along the edges of a Thick Basic White card base.  Then I inked the “smooth” side of the water image from the Sea Turtle photopolymer stamp set and stamped it repeatedly down the card front.  I cleaned the stamp, flipped it over and then stamped the bubble side in Pool Part ink at the bottom of the inked area.  I used a Blending Brush to apply more Pool Party ink to fill in the entire rectangle, then I lifted the Post-It Note Tape.

I stamped the detailed small turtle image from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Garden Green ink three times across the card front.  I clean the stamp, flipped it over and then inked the smooth side of the stamp in Granny Apple Green ink and stamped it over the detailed turtle images.

I stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut around the image with one of the Happy Little Things Dies (Online Exclusive item) and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added two Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls to finish the card front.
