Stampin’ Up! Charming Duck Pond Hello Friend Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Charming Duck Pond stamp set bundle to create my card to share with you today. I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.

I stared by cutting a panel of Lily Pond Lane 6″ x 6″ DSP with one of the Charming Duck Pond Dies. I placed the die cut over the Thick Basic White card front and marked the bottom of the die cut with a pencil. I added strips of Post-It Note Tape to mask the very edges of the card front and then used a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to the card front. I removed the masks and adhered the die cut panel over the inked card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut panels of Granny Apple Green, Peach Pie and Gray Granite card stock with dies from the Charming Duck Pond Dies. I snipped the ends of the Peach Pie die cut cattails off and adhered them over the Granny Apple Green die cuts and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the die cut lily pads and waterlilies to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I colored the eye area on the Peach Pie small die cut ducks with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and then adhered the Gray Granite die cut over the top with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered the die cut beak and wings to the larger duck with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I placed the larger duck on the card front and marked the eye with a pencil and then colored a small dot with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker on the card front. I adhered the larger duck to the card front so that the black dot was in the eye die cut and then adhered the two smaller ducks below it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Duck Pond photopolymer stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I used one of the Autumn Leaves Dies to cut the sentiment out, then slid the die over about 1/2″ and cut the end off the die cut to make is shorter. I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added two dragonflies from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds (Online Exclusive item, restocking around May 27) to finish the card front.

I stamped the duck images from the Charming Duck Pond stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento, Peach Pie and Gray Granite inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
