Stampin’ Up! Simply Said CAS Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Simply said stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Simply Said CAS Birthday Card

Here is the sketch that we’re all using today:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Regal Winter DSP to the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered another panel of Regal Winter DSP to a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered the layered panel to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I adhered a small length of Blackberry Bliss & Gold 1/2″ Textured Ribbon to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment out with one of the Hearts & Hugs Dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two Berry Burst gems from the Regal Foiled Adhesive-Backed Dots near the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a strip of Regal Winter DSP to finish the inside of the card.

  1. I love that paper and your card. That ribbon is a nice added touch. I’ve added this to my CASE list! (For after Saturday. 😉) TFS!
