Stampin’ Up! Darling Dinos Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Darling Dinos stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Darling Dinos Birthday Card

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering 1″ strips of patterned paper from the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP to the top and bottom of a Misty Moonlight card base with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I adhered a wide strip of Timeless Plaid DSP to the center of the card with Stampin’ Seal.  I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Spotlight On Nature Dies and then stamped the grass image from the Darling Dinos photopolymer stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on the die cut circle.  I used Blending Brushes to apply Crumb Cake and Boho Blue inks to the circle die cut.

I stamped the rocks and dinosaur images from the Darling Dinos stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the images with Light and Dark Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut the images out with the coordinating Darling Dinos Dies.  I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Darling Dinos stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two dots from the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots to finish the card front.

  1. Amy, this is a perfect card featuring the Dinos! I received my SU’ order this week, which included this bundle and the DSP. I’ve made two of these this morning (not birthday), and they are already in the mail box for some young friends of mine. I love BLOG HOP Thursday!
