Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “celebrate spring” theme and I’m featuring the Flower Cart stamp set and dies for my card.

Stampin' Up! Flower Cart Birthday Card

The colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players PP728.

I started by adhering a panel of Bubble Bath patterned paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Bubble Bath card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I used Blending Brushes to apply Coastal Cabana and Gray Granite inks to a panel of Basic White card stock.  I stamped the rock image from the Flower Cart photopolymer stamp set in Gray Granite ink across the Basic White panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Cart stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on the Basic White panel and then adhered the inked panel to a die cut from Basic White card stock with one of the Textured Notes Dies with Stampin’ Seal.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the flower and flowerpot images from the Flower Cart stamp set in Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath inks on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the images out with the coordinating Flower Cart Dies and then adhered the die cuts with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added two clear dots from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.

  1. Beautiful card – the lovely flowers make me want to head to the florist to bring some home with me! 🙂

  2. Amy, your card reminds me of a flower market or flower stall that are so prevalent in Europe. I used to love walking past and smelling the scents and admiring the colors. Thank you for that memory. I love how you used the soft colors with the earthy tones of the flower pots. So glad you shared this fabulous card with us at the Paper Players this week

  3. What a beautiful card, Amy. The soft colours work so well for the flowers in their pots. The decorative edge of the frame is lovely. Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
