Stampin’ Up! Peaceful View Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “for the boys/men” theme and I’m featuring the Peaceful View stamp set for my card.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful View Birthday Card

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Country Woods DSP to the front of an Early Espresso card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I used Sponge Daubers to apply Pecan Pie (tree trunk), Old Olive (tree top), Crumb Cake (fence), Mossy Meadow (grass) and Balmy Blue (bird) to the Peaceful View stamp set.

I stamped the Peaceful View image on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around the image with one of the Textured Notes Dies (Online Exclusive item).  I used a Blending Brush to apply a little more Old Olive ink to the edges of the tree top and Mossy Meadow ink to the grass area on the panel.  I adhered the die cut rectangle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I looped a small length of Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  I stamped the sentiment from The Right Words stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with another one of the Textured Notes Dies and then slid the die over a bit, lined up the stitches and cut the sentiment strip again to shorten it a bit.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added two Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.
