Stampin’ Up! Peace On Earth Sympathy Card for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Peace On Earth stamp set bundle to create a sympathy card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.

Stampin' Up! Peace On Earth Sympathy Card

Here is the color challenge for Sunday Stamps SSC369.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #703.

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Peaceful Garden DSP to the front of a Secret Sea card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Peace On Earth stamp set in Secret Sea ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut around the sentiment with one of the Everyday Arches Dies (Online Exclusive item).

I used a Blending Brush to apply Misty Moonlight ink to the top of the die cut arch and then cut a panel of Pecan Pie card stock with another one of the Everyday Arches Dies.  I adhered the two die cuts together with Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Basic White card stock the dove dies from the Peace On Earth Dies and then adhered the die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two of the Hues Of Blue Flowers to finish the card front.

  1. Gorgeous!! Such a beautiful take on our “Into the Earth” color palette…it is sure to inspire those who decide to play along with us over at Sunday Stamps. #SSC369

  2. Amy, though I’m not usually a fan of blue, these deep and greyed-down hues really appeal to me. What a gorgeous color combination – I’m so glad they found a home in the FMS sketch!
