Stampin’ Up! Cake Day Fun Fold Birthday Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Cake Day stamp set bundle from the upcoming November 4 Online Exclusives to create a fun fold birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial showing you how to create this on my YouTube channel right here.

Stampin' Up! Cake Day Fun Fold Birthday Car

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Floral Impressions DSP (Online Exclusive item) to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I cut a panel of Lemon Lolly card stock with the large cake slice die from the Cake Day Dies (Online Exclusive item available November 4).  I stamped the cake layer images from the Cake Day stamp set (Online Exclusive item available November 4) in Pretty In Pink and Lemon Lolly inks across the card front.

I stamped the frosting image from the Cake Day stamp set in Pretty In Pink ink on a panel of Pretty In Pink card stock and then cut the images with the coordinating Cake Day Dies.  I cut panels of Basic White, Pool Party, Pretty In Pink and Coastal Cabana card stock with the frosting, cookie, candle and flag dies from the Cake Day stamp set.  I adhered the frosting die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Cake Day stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on the die cut flag.  I snipped about 1/2″ off the bottom of the candles and flag die cuts and then adhered the flag and candles to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

I adhered the die cut frosting to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I adhered the cookie die cuts and frosting together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered them to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  I applied a small strip of Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Gold Foil Sheets and then cut the Gold Foil with the spark dies from the Cake Day Dies.  I adhered the die cuts together with the Adhesive Sheets and then adhered the sparks to the top of the candles with Mini Glue Dots.

I cut small circles from Basic White card stock and then adhered them to the back of the sparks to cover the Mini Glue Dots.  I stamped the sprinkles and sentiment images from the Cake Day stamp set in Lemon Lolly and Pretty In Pink ink on the inside of the card and then adhered the cake card to the DSP panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
