I used the Stampin’ Up! Festive Friends stamp set bundle to create a quick Christmas card to share with you today. I also created this card in a quick video out on YouTube this morning and you can see that video right here.
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #708.
I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Nests Of Winter DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock with Stampin’ Seal. Then I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut a circle from Basic White card stock with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then stamped the snowflake image from the Festive Friends stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in Pool Party ink on the die cut circle.
I colored the “ground” on the die cut circle with a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker and then colored over it with the Color Lifter to lighten it a bit. I adhered the circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I stamped the snowman image from the Festive Friends stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the image out with the coordinating Festive Friends Dies (Online Exclusive item) and adhered the die cut to the circle with Stampin’ Seal.
I stamped the sentiment from the Festive Friends stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Real Red card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Festive Friends Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I added three Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment and snowflake images from the Festive Friends stamp set in Real Red and Pool Party inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
