Stampin’ Up! Petals Of Beauty Birthday Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Petals Of Beauty and Words Of Beauty stamp set bundles and a little of the Brushed With Beauty DSP to create a birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial showing you how to create this on my YouTube channel right here.

Stampin' Up! Petals Of Beauty Birthday Card

My card design was inspired by As You See It Challenge #362.

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Brushed With Beauty DSP (Online Exclusive item) to the front of a Petal Pink card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I embossed a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered two panels of Brushed With Beauty DSP to panels of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I cut another panel of Brushed With Beauty DSP with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and I adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front.  I cut a panel of Early Espresso card stock two times with the leaves die from the Petals Of Beauty Dies (Online Exclusive item), snipped off the bottom portion and then adhered the die cuts to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

Stampin' Up! Petals Of Beauty Birthday Card

I stamped the flower image from the Petals Of Beauty stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in Petal Pink ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock two times.  Then I inked the flower center image from the Petals Of Beauty stamp set in Early Espresso ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the Petal Pink flowers.  I cut the images with the coordinating Petals Of Beauty Dies and then adhered them with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Words Of Beauty stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Brushed With Beauty DSP and then cut around it with the coordinating Petals Of Beauty Die.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  I applied small pieces of Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then cut the panel of Early Espresso and a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Words Of Beauty Dies (Online Exclusive item).  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimesionals under the ends and Mini Glue Dots in the middle.  I added two Pearls Of Beauty (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.

I stamped the flower images from the Petals Of Beauty stamp set in Petal Pink and Early Espresso (stamped on scrap paper once) on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock to finish the inside of the card.

Stamp With Amy K Reverse Advent Calendar Food Pantry Donations

I’ve been pondering little ways to give back and say thank you to my awesome customers for ordering with me this year.  I’ve decided to do a “Reverse Advent Calendar” through through December 11!

If you’re not familiar with the Reverse Advent Calendar, rather than getting something every day, I’ll be donating the items of the day to the Randolph Food Pantry in Randolph, NJ!  One item of the day will be donated for every order placed through me that day!

I know that it’s technically not advent right now…but I wanted to get the donation to the pantry before Christmas since I am hearing that the pantries around me are running low on resources.

The items will change every day, so there should be a nice variety of things donated thanks to you all!  I’ll plan to post the donation item of the day on my blog and on my Facebook page so that you can see what your order will donate!  You won’t need to do anything, I’ll keep a running list of everything that will be donated based on your orders and I’ll purchase the items and take them to the pantry in mid-December!

The donation item for day sixteen is a package of pasta!  So I’ll be donating a package of pasta to the Randolph Food Pantry for every order placed through me today!

Click here to head over to the online store to start shopping now!

Thank you again to all of my awesome customers for helping me to fill up the shelves at my local Food Pantry!  Your donations will be greatly appreciated!!

  1. Such pretty blossoms, Amy and I love how you flipped the sketch! The colours you chose are my favourites! Thanks for using our sketch at As You See It Challenges.

  2. This is beautiful Amy – soft layers and I love that you finished with a larger-than-live snetiment. Thanks for making our sketch shine over at As You See It!

  3. The colours in this suite are really pretty. I think that the way you’ve matted the DSP with the darker colour really makes them pop. The die cut sentiment is a great way to show the horizontal of the sketch. And of course, you had me with the textured background. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of the sketch with us at As You See It. Happy holidays to you! 🙂
