Stampin’ Up! Words For The Season Happy New Year Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Words For The Season stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Words For The Season Happy New Year Card

Here is the sketch that we’re all using this week…I took a little liberty with the placement of the banner:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP to the front of a Basic Black card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Gold Foil Sheets with one of the Textured Notes Dies.

I embossed a panel of Basic Black card stock with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive item) and then adhered the embossed panel to the Gold Foil die cut with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I applied small strips of Adhesive Sheets to the back of another panel of Gold Foil Sheets and then cut the panel with two of the Words For The Season Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiments to the card front with the Adhesive Sheets.

I stamped the sentiment from the Words For The Season stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Basic Black card stock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Folder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment with the coordinating Words For The Season Dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered three Iridescent Foil Gems to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Words For The Season stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of Modern Christmas DSP to the panel to finish the inside of the card.
